We finally managed a getaway over the long weekend in March. Folk obviously were getting cabin fever and camping withdrawal. And it was great to see some faces we haven’t seen for a while at a getaway.

This was a new park to us – Mount Park in the Midlands – a lovely rustic farm venue. This farm is well over a hundred and fifty years old although the current owners have only been there for about 20 years. An old grave from the 1880’s of, presumably, the farmer at the time, was found up the hill a bit.

The huge old farmhouse is currently being renovated for self-catering and can sleep 18.
There are a 3 well-appointed tented accommodation plus a few chalets.
The park is also available as a wedding venue – a huge 140-year-old oak tree is the “chapel “
