Celebration time!

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, Gerber 4x4 Conversions celebrates its 20th birthday this year. With the birthday in mind, we decided to interview, Wouter Gerber as 20 years in business is an accomplishment well done. In the interview we learned a few things that a lot of us did not know. Here is a summary of the interview.

Wouter's first job after the Military was sweeping floors and assisting with small fitting jobs in a workshop. This is where he started learning and self  education about the 4x4 industry. And from there he worked himself up the ladder to where he is today. We think this is very motivational. He started from the bottom like a lot of us and today he has a Company running for 20 years already.

Pay it Forward

We would like to do thing a little differently this year. We want to Pay it forward.

SAPS Dog unit - Canopy

One of our main goals this year is to help where we can when we can, and the SAPS Dog unit happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Our team of experts helped with the work to be done for this Canopy with no hesitation. Thank you, team, for your hard work, and thank you SAPS for putting your life at risk every day.

Flip Flop Day - 17 Feb 2023

In supporting the CHOC Foundation, we at Gerbers took part in Flip Flop Day which took place on the 17th of February. Everyone who bought a ticket came to work with a pair of comfy flip-flops and the ticket money went towards the CHOC foundation. Thank you to each one who supported this cause in helping Kids with Cancer.

March - Paw it Forward Project

Our Paw it forward project will start in March. For every Canopy fitted in March, Gerber 4x4 Conversions will donate 1x 8kg dog food towards our local SPCA. The food donations will be shared equally between Benoni SPCA, Boksburg SPCA, and Brakpan SPCA.

Valentines'day!

February wasn't only about celebrating our 20th birthday but also celebrating Love. Here at Gerbers, we love, love! We also had three winners for our Valentine's competition. 1st Prize - Carel Venter 2nd Prize – Bertus Steenkamp 3rd Prize – Angelique Van Der Merwe These winners were contacted, and some even shared photos with us of their romantic dinner. We hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day.

Welcome to the team!

We are happy to announce that Adrine will be the new face of Gerber 4x4 Conversions as she takes her place in our reception area with her friendly personality and bright

Daniel has joined our team recently and will be our Senior Draughtsman. Welcome, Daniel. We look forward to the journey ahead!

Uncle John is also a new member of our little Gerbers family. Uncle John will be assisting with Quality Control in the workshop.

And last but not least, we have Lucky. We sure are lucky to have him in our Assembly team.

New Products!

Our workshop has been very busy, not only with the work that needs to be done but also with all the new products that we have coming! In our last newsletter, we mentioned that a new Ford Ranger tank is in the making and now we also have a Stainless Steel Canopy on its way!

But wait….there's more!

Yes, we really do have more!
We recently had the email below sent to us, and this is one of the reasons we started with a prototype Auxiliary Fuel Tank for the Land Cruiser 300 Series.

“I am also interested in long range fuel tanks. Mine is the petrol LC300GS. Its range is poor, I am getting around 16l per 100km on a 110l tank ”
