WOW, our first outspan for the year of 2023, and we were welcomed by gusts of wind belting from all directions. Families who camped a few days earlier confirmed that the wind had not let up at all.

We ended up camping at Imhoff again as the Miller’s Point booking fell through. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, starting at the beginning of November and eventually a visit to the booking office for Miller’s Point in Muizenberg, resulted in us being unable to secure campsites.

The Ganzekraal Coastal Resort is a municipal camp that is ideal for weekend getaways. It is just off the R27 and hugs the fresh Atlantic Ocean. The sites had a beautiful view of the sea.

Die Watergat campsite is situated in the heart of the Breedekloof Wine Valley only an hour’s drive from Cape Town. There are 20 electrical points. There is lovely lawn, a large swimming pool, braai facilities, Lapa, 2 fridges and WIFI. The ablutions are clean and ample hot water. You feel relaxed and refreshed after spending time there
