If you love the outdoors, the rugged and beautiful wilderness that Africa has to offer, but you also enjoy your creature comforts, then consider a home away from home.
We will help you to convert and equip your 4 x 4 with all the latest conveniences and accessories. As experienced 4 x 4 enthusiasts we know what items are essential and understand what accessories are needed to make your outdoor camping experience an enjoyable and pleasurable one.
Obviously if you hope to be properly equipped you have to have determined what type of environment you intend to inhabit. There are wonderful campsites situated at popular locations. These well equipped venues make for much easier stop overs. In order to utilise this type of facility your need for independence is reduced. There will usually be showers and cooking sites, often a shop of sorts for basic provisions.
Then of course there are those of you who wish to stop right in the middle of nowhere, this will necessitate much greater resources to be carried with you. Good basics are the secret, two spare wheels, long range tanks for water and fuel. Refrigeration and lighting will require additional battery capacity, this should be managed by a reliable system.
Lets have a look at the photos below for a moment, you may see some things not considered to date. In the first photo are some of the items we bury away under seating and other items of built-in furniture.
1 - A Safe 2 - Storage for small loose items 3 - An Electric Compressor
Now these might or might not be elements you had considered when working out what you want in a camping vehicle, but security is an issue, after all there is not likely to be an ATM around every corner where you're going. Your smaller items are an issue because they will not sit still on dirt roads and river beds. The compressor is just so important, there are no Shell One-Stops out there, so your punctures have to be self managed.
4 - Gas Stove 5 - Built-in Seating with storage Simple yet effective use of space is important for your comfort, this must not be underestimated when on a long overland journey.
6 - RoofTop Tent 7 - Spare Wheel 8 - 2nd Spare Wheel 9 - Gas Bottle & Holder 10 - RoofTop Awning Real and obvious accessories - top of the range stuff or to fit your budget!
